Nursery Life

We follow the Early Years foundation stage framework which is the recognised curriculum for children aged 0-5 years.

Our Children learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking which takes place both indoors and outside.

We encourage Transient Art and Loose Ends Play to stimulate your child’s instinctive curiosity, exploration, and imaginative play.

We ensure that your child is as safe as possible and follow specific welfare requirements and Health & Safety standards.

Our flexible

day care

Full Day Care

Full time children attend nursery from 07.30 with collection taking place between 4pm and 6.30pm and includes three meals of breakfast, lunch and light tea and unlimited snacks and drinks throughout the day.  We are open Monday to Friday, except bank holidays and Public Holidays. We have 3 INSET days per year where the nursery is closed for staff training and general maintenance of the buildings.

Half-day Sessions

Part time children may attend morning or afternoon sessions. Morning sessions commence at 07.30 with collection at 12.30pm. Our afternoon session will commence from 1.30pm with collection taking place between 16.00 and 18.30.

For children attending full time or morning sessions, we ask that children should arrive at the nursery no later than 9.30am. Afternoon sessions are no later than 13.30. This is because we have planned activities and do not want any children to miss out. We do not offer swap days so if you child does not attend on their booked session this cannot be swapped for another day free of charge. We will need to charge for an additional session this case.

Term Time Only (TTO)
At Butterflies, we also offer Term Time only places. These places are based on the children attending 39 weeks per year and payments are annualised as per our standard charging process.
